🪜 Asking step by step

Splitting a big request into small steps makes the answer clearer and more correct.

If you want to climb a staircase, you don't jump from the first step to the last: you take them one at a time. Complicated problems are also solved better in small steps, and AI reasons more precisely if you ask it this way. Instead of "solve everything", try "explain this step by step, one at a time". The AI stops at each step, shows its reasoning and you can see where you are. It's like a recipe: first the ingredients, then mix, then bake. Order and calm beat rushing.

A maths example: "Don't just give me the result, show me every step as if you were the teacher at the board". This way you see how the solution is reached, not just the final number, and next time you'll do it yourself. Or for a project: "Give me the list of steps to build a poster about volcanoes, one at a time". Asking step by step has another advantage: if a step is wrong, you spot it right away, instead of ending up with the whole answer bent at the end and not knowing where.
