Grace Syllabus 1.1

The standard of competences a Grace-certified person can demonstrate, with assessment conditions and pass criteria. Version 1.1, published 16 September 2026. Each certificate refers to the syllabus version in force on the exam date, and is publicly verifiable via token.

Competence modules

1. Role: Assigning the AI the right role for the task.
2. Context: Providing necessary and sufficient background information.
3. Objective: Stating the expected result unambiguously.
4. Constraints: Delimiting what the output must respect.
5. Format: Specifying the output form for real use.
6. Audience: Orienting the output to whoever will receive it.
7. Efficiency: Getting the best result with the cleanest instruction.
8. AI-assisted problem solving: Solving real professional problems, with or without AI.
9. Integrity and responsible use: Using AI transparently and compliantly, aware of the AI Act art. 4 literacy obligation.

Certification levels

Practitioner: platform level 3 and 3 bronze area badges; exam with 5 scenarios (3 beginner, 2 advanced).
Prompt Engineer (formerly "Expert"): platform level 4 and 5 silver area badges; exam with 5 scenarios (2 beginner, 3 advanced).
Prompt Master (formerly "Master"): platform level 5 and 3 gold badges; exam with webcam, 5 advanced scenarios.

Assessment

75-minute individual timed exam on 5 scenarios drawn from those with a dedicated rubric that the candidate has never attempted; if never-attempted scenarios run short, the exam also uses scenarios already seen and says so before the start. Each scenario is scored 0-100 across the 7 dimensions of modules 1-7 with the same public methodology for every candidate, marked afresh without reusing training evaluations. Pass threshold: the lowest score is dropped; the average of the four counted scenarios must be at least 75/100 and none of the four can be below 50/100. When time runs out the answers given count, if there are at least four. Every session records integrity signals (pasted text, window switches); at Prompt Master level the webcam takes one picture a minute and the result goes to human review within two working days when the pictures don't cover the session. Attempts are 7 days apart. On passing, the certificate is issued with a public verification token, valid for 18 months and renewable in the last 60 days of validity.

Versions

Version 1.1, 16 September 2026: Master renamed Prompt Master; no counted scenario below 50/100; answers given count when time runs out, at least four; never-attempted scenarios with a dedicated rubric; marking without reusing training evaluations; 7 days between attempts; renewal in the last 60 days; webcam with review. Version 1.0, first publication, 2 August 2026. The first digit changes when modules or thresholds change substantially; previous versions remain available to interpret historical certificates.
