🤐 Don't give the AI your data

When you talk to an AI, some things always stay secret: full name, address, passwords.

Talking with an AI can be handy and fun: it answers everything, helps with homework, tells stories. But it is important to remember you are not talking to a locked secret diary. What you write can be saved, read, or used by a company to improve the program. It does not mean there is always someone bad on the other side, but it does mean we must be careful. Just as you would not tell your whole life to a stranger on the street, it is wise not to pour all your secrets into a chat, even if it seems kind and understanding.

There are things you never write to an AI: your full last name, your home address, your exact school, your phone number, passwords, and your parents' data like a credit card. Even your photos and your friends' photos are better kept out. If an AI or a site asks for this data to 'help you', stop: that is a warning bell. You can use AI to learn and create without handing over your identity. And if you are not sure whether something is too personal, the rule is simple: when in doubt, do not write it and ask an adult.
