🗣️ Learning languages with AI

AI is a patient conversation partner that doesn't laugh if you slip and corrects you calmly.

Learning a language is like learning to swim: you have to dive in and try, reading the manual isn't enough. The problem is we're often afraid of making mistakes in front of others. With AI that fear disappears: you can chat in English, Spanish or French without embarrassment, because it doesn't judge you. You write "let's talk about football in English, correct my mistakes kindly" and off you go. You can ask it to repeat, go slowly, explain why a sentence is wrong. It's like having a native-speaker friend always available.

There are many useful games to play. "Translate this sentence and explain the rule", "give me five new food words with an example each", "let's pretend we're at a restaurant in London, you the waiter and me the customer". The important thing is to try speaking yourself, not just have the AI translate. If you copy and paste without understanding, the language won't stick. But if you use it to train, ask, slip up and try again, it becomes a fantastic gym: slowly the new words become yours, not just copied.

🎒 Try it in class (or at home)

Ask the AI to have a dialogue in another language about a theme you love, gently correcting your mistakes: how many sentences can you say?
