💬 The prompt: your words matter

The question you type is called a prompt: change it and the whole answer changes.

The message you write to an AI is called a prompt. It is the steering wheel you drive it with: vague words lead to vague answers, precise words to precise answers. "Tell me about dinosaurs" produces a generic flood; "explain in 5 lines why the T-Rex had short arms, as if I were 8" produces a tailored answer.

This is a real skill, called prompt engineering, and many adults use it at work every day. The good news: you learn it exactly the way you learn to ask good questions in class. Better questions get better answers, from AI and from people.

🎒 Try it in class (or at home)

Pair experiment: write the same topic as two different prompts (one vague, one precise with age, length and format). Compare the answers: which wins and why?
