Engineering Manager / Tech Lead

Grace's first technical hire: you will take over a platform already in production (Laravel + React, 1,200+ pages, mobile app, Stripe payments) and build the team that takes it from 100 to 100,000 users.

What you will do

End-to-end technical ownership of the platform (Laravel backend, React SPA, Capacitor app, CI/CD on GitHub Actions)
Build and lead the engineering team: hiring, mentoring, reviews
Define architecture and technical priorities with the founder
Balance release speed and robustness: we ship multiple times a day
Evolve the AI integration (multi-model evaluation, fallbacks, costs)

What we are looking for

7+ years of software development, at least 2 with team or tech-lead responsibility
Solid experience with PHP/Laravel or an equivalent stack, and React/TypeScript
You have taken a product from early stage to scale (or tried, and know what you would do differently)
Pragmatism: you pick the solution the product needs, not the most elegant one
Fluent Italian and English
