Deep Learning

Deep learning is the family of machine learning techniques based on neural networks with many layers. Each layer learns increasingly abstract representations of the data: in images, early layers recognize edges and colors, intermediate ones shapes and textures, final ones whole objects like faces or cars.

Deep learning enabled the breakthroughs of the last decade: accurate speech recognition, quality machine translation, computer vision, and large language models.
