AGI (Artificial General Intelligence)

AGI (Intelligenza Artificiale Generale)

AGI, Artificial General Intelligence, denotes a hypothetical AI capable of performing any human cognitive task at or above human level, with the same flexibility in moving across domains. It contrasts with today's "narrow" AI, excellent at specific tasks but lacking general understanding.

Definition

Whether and when AGI will arrive is intensely debated: expert estimates range from a few years to decades. For businesses, what matters today is using existing AI well.
