Agente AI (AI Agent)
An AI Agent is a system based on a language model that can autonomously plan a sequence of actions to achieve an objective, instead of merely responding to a single question. AI agents can use tools (tool use), search the internet, execute code, read and write files, interact with external APIs, and even delegate sub-tasks to other agents.
The difference from a "base" LLM is in the autonomy and ability to act in multiple steps: an AI agent receives a complex objective ("analyze the last 10 customer emails and update the CRM with the key information"), breaks it down into steps, executes each step using the tools available, and produces a final result.
AI agents are evolving fast and becoming one of the most impactful technologies for automating complex business processes. Understanding how to work with them and instruct them, through effective prompts and well-built System Prompts, is an increasingly valuable skill, one that builds on the Prompt Engineering foundations Grace teaches.
