User simulation prompting is a technique in which the model is asked to generate, in addition to the response, possible reactions, follow-up questions or objections a real user might have, so as to anticipate unclear or critical points even before the interaction actually takes place.

The prompt instructs the model to put itself in the shoes of the response's recipient, imagining how they would react to what was written, what doubts might arise, or what information would be missing, and to use this simulation to revise or enrich the original response before delivering it. The model thus plays a dual role, that of the responder and that of an evaluator judging the response from the recipient's point of view.
This technique is useful when designing materials for a broad or heterogeneous audience, such as a guide that must anticipate the most common questions, a customer support message that must preempt further clarification requests, or educational content that must be tested against the typical difficulties of someone learning a new topic.
The term describes the application to prompting of the principle of simulating the end user's point of view, a practice already widespread in product and content design, here transferred to how a prompt is built and refined before the response actually reaches a human recipient.
La simulazione dell'utente nel prompt e' una tecnica in cui si chiede al modello di generare, oltre alla risposta, anche possibili reazioni, domande di follow-up o obiezioni che un utente reale potrebbe avere, cosi' da anticipare punti poco chiari o critici prima ancora che l'interazione avvenga davvero.
Il prompt istruisce il modello a mettersi nei panni del destinatario della risposta, immaginando come reagirebbe a quanto scritto, quali dubbi potrebbero sorgere o quali informazioni risulterebbero mancanti, e a usare questa simulazione per rivedere o arricchire la risposta originale prima di consegnarla. Il modello svolge quindi un doppio ruolo, quello di chi risponde e quello di chi valuta la risposta dal punto di vista di chi la riceve.
Questa tecnica e' utile nella progettazione di materiali destinati a un pubblico ampio o eterogeneo, come una guida che deve anticipare le domande piu' comuni, un messaggio di assistenza clienti che deve prevenire ulteriori richieste di chiarimento, o un testo formativo che deve essere testato contro le difficolta' tipiche di chi apprende un argomento nuovo.
Il termine descrive l'applicazione al prompting del principio di simulare il punto di vista dell'utente finale, una pratica gia' diffusa nella progettazione di prodotti e contenuti, qui trasferita al modo in cui si costruisce e affina un prompt prima che la risposta raggiunga davvero un destinatario umano.
