Zero-shot

Zero-shot prompting is the technique where you ask the model to perform a task without providing any examples of how the output should look. It relies exclusively on the model's ability to understand the instruction and generalize. For example: "Classify this text as positive, negative, or neutral: [text]."

Definition

It is the simplest and fastest type of prompting, suitable for tasks where the model has already been trained to respond correctly without examples, such as answering general questions, summarizing texts, or performing standard translations.
