Marchio CE per AI
The CE mark for artificial intelligence is the application of the European conformity marking to high-risk AI systems governed by the regulation. The CE marking, already familiar for many products such as toys, electronic devices and medical equipment, is the declaration by which a provider attests that the product meets the applicable requirements of Union law. Extended to AI systems, it indicates that the system has passed the required conformity assessment and complies with obligations on risk management, data, transparency, human oversight, accuracy and robustness.
Affixing the CE mark lets the system circulate freely in the European single market. It is not a consequence-free self-certification: it presupposes preparing the technical documentation and declaration of conformity and entails specific responsibilities for the provider. It is the point where regulatory compliance becomes visible and verifiable to authorities, customers and end users.
Il marchio CE per l'intelligenza artificiale è l'applicazione della marcatura di conformità europea ai sistemi AI ad alto rischio disciplinati dal regolamento. La marcatura CE, già nota per molti prodotti come giocattoli, dispositivi elettronici e apparecchiature mediche, è la dichiarazione con cui il fornitore attesta che il prodotto soddisfa i requisiti applicabili della normativa dell'Unione. Estesa ai sistemi AI, indica che il sistema ha superato la valutazione di conformità richiesta e rispetta gli obblighi in materia di gestione del rischio, dati, trasparenza, sorveglianza umana, accuratezza e robustezza.
Apporre il marchio CE consente al sistema di circolare liberamente nel mercato unico europeo. Non è un'autocertificazione priva di conseguenze: presuppone la predisposizione della documentazione tecnica e della dichiarazione di conformità, e comporta responsabilità precise per il fornitore. Rappresenta il punto in cui la conformità normativa diventa visibile e verificabile per autorità, clienti e utenti finali.
