Command R is a family of language models developed by Cohere, a company focused on enterprise AI. The models are designed specifically for business use cases, with particular emphasis on two capabilities: retrieval-augmented generation, which lets the model answer based on external company documents, and tool use, which lets it invoke functions and APIs. Command R is optimised to produce accurate, citable answers, reducing hallucinations by grounding responses in the supplied data.
