Alfabetizzazione AI (AI literacy)
AI literacy is the set of knowledge, skills and awareness that enable a person to understand, use and critically assess artificial intelligence systems. It is not about being able to program, but about grasping broadly how these tools work, their limits, risks such as errors and hallucinations, and their ethical and privacy implications. It includes correctly interpreting outputs, knowing when to trust or distrust a result and using AI responsibly in one's work context.
The European regulation introduces an AI literacy obligation: organisations that develop or use these systems must ensure an adequate level of competence among the staff involved. The aim is for decisions about AI use to be made knowingly, reducing misuse and fostering an informed, safe adoption of the technology.
L'alfabetizzazione AI è l'insieme di conoscenze, competenze e consapevolezza che permettono a una persona di comprendere, utilizzare e valutare criticamente i sistemi di intelligenza artificiale. Non riguarda la capacità di programmare, ma la comprensione di come funzionano questi strumenti a grandi linee, dei loro limiti, dei rischi come errori e allucinazioni, e delle implicazioni etiche e sulla privacy. Include il saper interpretare correttamente gli output, riconoscere quando fidarsi o diffidare di un risultato e usare l'AI in modo responsabile nel proprio contesto lavorativo.
Il regolamento europeo introduce un obbligo di alfabetizzazione AI: le organizzazioni che sviluppano o utilizzano questi sistemi devono garantire un livello adeguato di competenza al personale coinvolto. L'obiettivo è che le decisioni sull'impiego dell'AI siano prese con cognizione di causa, riducendo usi impropri e favorendo un'adozione consapevole e sicura della tecnologia.
